Are there monthly fees?
No. Hosting is free and set up in your name. The only ongoing cost is your domain name, which renews for about $12–20 a year, paid directly to the domain company. The first year is included in the $500.
Who owns the website?
You do, completely. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name, and you get the login details. Nothing is locked to us.
I already have a Facebook page. Do I need a website?
Facebook is great for posts, but plenty of customers aren't on it, and Google shows websites first when people search for what you do. A website gives you a home you control, with your hours, prices and phone number one tap away.
What if I want changes later?
Changes in the first 30 days after launch are free. After that, small updates are quick and inexpensive, and we'll show you how to make simple text changes yourself.
How long does it take?
Your free preview is usually ready within a few days. Once you decide to keep it, going live with your domain takes about a day.
Do I have to do anything?
Not really. We start with what's already public about your business. If you'd like, send us a few photos or your logo, and we'll make it even better.

Slate Valley Web is run by Vin. We're spending this season building websites for the local businesses of the Slate Valley, from the diners on Main Street to the contractors out on the county routes.
We'll meet you in person or online, whichever is easier for you. And because we build your site before you pay a cent, you never have to take our word for anything.
